The Little Dog Laughed by Douglas Carter Beane

Sex, lies and Hollywood glamour hit the stage when Queensland Theatre Company presents Douglas Carter Beane's hit comedy The Little Dog Laughed – a sparkling satirical comedy about acting, pretending and the inconvenience of true love.

Hot acting property, Mitchell, is about to make it big professionally, but his personal life is a mess. His cunningly manipulative agent, Diane, knows that Mitchell can be the next big thing, if he can only overcome his 'slight recurring case of homosexuality'.

When Mitchell falls for the young hustler Alex and tongues start wagging, Diane resorts to increasingly ridiculous schemes to keep the truth from coming out – literally.

Queensland Theatre Company advises theatre-goers that Nathaniel Dean has withdrawn from The Little Dog Laughed due to a neck injury sustained during rehearsals. The role of Mitchell will now be played by Tom O’Sullivan, familiar to audiences from his work in Underbelly III.
