This year Queensland Theatre Company will be holding two rounds of general auditions for actors, firstly on 19 June and secondly on 9 December 2008. Anyone may apply for an audition, but places are quite limited and preference is given to actors with recent professional experience, or recent graduates of a recognised acting course.

Applications for our 19 June general auditions open on 1 January and close at 5pm on 30 April 2008.

Applications for our 9 December general auditions open on 1 July and close on 10 October 2008.

Late applications cannot be accepted. Applications may be submitted by mail or email addressed to the Artistic Development Manager. Send a CV, headshot and covering letter, simply paper clipped together, not stapled, bound or in folders, indicating for which General Audition date you would like to be considered. Do not send other material.

General auditions are a way of 'getting to know' actors. They are not auditions for specific roles in our play production season.

To be eligible you must be:

• 18 or over;
• locally based; and
• able to demonstrate a sufficient degree of training or experience to be considered for work in a professional theatre company.

If you have been seen in an audition for the Company in the last 3 or 4 years, or if we have seen your work locally , you may not need to attend a general audition.
