Auditions
Queensland Theatre Company holds two rounds of auditions each year. These introductory auditions are a way for Artistic Development staff to 'getting to know' actors. They are not auditions for specific roles in our play production season.
To be eligible you must be:
- 18 or over
- locally based; and
- able to demonstrate a sufficient degree of training or experience to be considered for work in a professional theatre company.
If you have been seen in an audition for the Company in the last 4 years, or if we have seen your work in other companies' productions, it may not be necessary for you to attend a general audition.
Round One – General Auditions
Anyone may apply for a General Audition, but places are limited and preference is given to actors with recent professional experience.
Applications for our 17/18 May 2010 General Auditions open on 18 January 2010 and close on 12 April 2010.
Round Two – Graduate Auditions
Graduates of the current year from a recognised tertiary acting course may apply for round two of auditions.
Applications for our 6/7 December 2010 Graduate Auditions open on 9 August 2010 and close on 1 November 2010.

Send your CV, headshot and covering letter (not stapled, bound or in folders), indicating for which Audition round you would like to be considered. There is no need to send any other supporting material.
