Do you have a burning desire to write for the stage?
Are you between 13 – 26 years of age?
If so, we want your script.
The Young Playwrights Program is an opportunity for up to three playwrights to participate in a program to develop their script and refine their writing skills.
Each selected playwright receives:
professional script development
tickets to productions at Queensland Theatre Company
a rehearsed reading of the play by professional actors
invitations to industry events and other opportunities
How to apply
1.
Complete an application form
2.
Include copy of ID which shows your age
3.
Ensure your script conforms to the style guide below
4.
Send your script, ID, and entry form to

Style Guide
1.
Include two copies of your play (no longer than 30 minutes)
2.
The play must be printed on single-sided A4 paper
3.
Include a cover page with the title of your play on it
4.
Use double spacing and leave a 2cm margin
5.
Do not use binding or staples, a bulldog clip is preferred
6.
Number your pages
7.
Do not print your name on the script (the plays are judged anonymously)
